"Hear My Name" - co-written and co-recorded by Spalding Rockwell with Armand Van Helden made them among the first few women musicians to write/perform/produce/sound engineer their own Top 40 Charts song.

Nicole Lombardi’s interest in sound began at a young age. Growing up surrounded by music, she developed a curiosity about how sound could be captured, manipulated, and enhanced. This curiosity led her to learn how to produce and sound engineer.

Her early work involved looking over the shoulders of legendary producers and sound engineers in studio sessions, and then learning the intricacies of recording, mixing, mastering, as well as live sound. Success in music came early, with a record contract while still in college. And Nicole Lombardi's dedication quickly became evident, and she earned respect for her technical expertise, and a Top 40 hit song.

Nicole’s work with various artists, including the her electronic duo Spalding Rockwell, showcased her versatility and ability to adapt to different musical styles. Collaborating with Spalding Rockwell, known for their unique blend of electronic and rock elements, Nicole demonstrated how sound engineering could enhance the emotional impact of music.
